All Polygon nodes running in SettleMint are configured to be full nodes.

Full nodes store a complete copy of the current state of the blockchain. Moreover, a full node participates in block validation. Whenever a transaction is added to the blockchain, full nodes verify that the transaction is valid, and thereby maintain the current state of the blockchain.

Alongside full nodes, there are also archive nodes, which hold the same information as a full node, but also build an archive of historical states.

Learn here how to interact with your Polygon node.
